The Cathedral
This baroque building is famous for its gilded choir chairs and paintings by Mexican artists.

Tunnel Mining Museum
Underground museum with 24 feet deep and 306 yards long. This museum displays a collection with objects and mining samples, dating from the founding of the city. Phone (618) 827-0626. From 10 to 22 hrs. Closed Monday. Entrance from the Placita de Juan Pablo II.

Tourist Tram
A 45-minute tour that takes you to the main sights in the city. The tram departs from the Plaza de Armas, which is located opposite the cathedral.

Mexiquillo
Mexiquillo is famous for its rock formations and beautiful 20-meter (65.6 foot) waterfall. It is located on the highway to Mazatlan at the 145 km marker, a couple of hours from Durango.
