Chiapa de Corzo and the Sumidero Canyon
Located 15 km (9 miles) from Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapa de Corzo is a quaint town and departure point of boat tours to the Sumidero Canyon. The tours take you along the Grijalva River, through the 38 km (23 miles) long Sumidero, whose cliffs reach up to 1,300 m (0.80 miles) in height.
