A Mayan ceremonial center, Tonina, also known as the House of Stone, features such architectural jewels as the Acropolis, built on natural alloys, a ballgame court, temples, altars, and stelae placed on 7 different platforms. The site is located 112 km (70 miles) from San Cristobal de las Casas.
