The Yohualichan Archaeological Site
Considered the first Totonac population center, Yohualichan (Totonac for House of the Night) bears striking similarities to the Tajin archaeological site. Yohualichan is located 7 km (4.35 miles) from Cuetzalan. Open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs.

Caves
Cuetzalan features impressive underground caves some of which can be visited without special gear. Other caves require, however, hiring a specialized guide. The most frequently visited caves include Aventura, Chivostoc, and Ampolihui.

Rivers and Waterfalls
Cuetzalan is crossed by several bodies of water such as the Apulco and the Cuichatl Rivers, and beautiful waterfalls including Las Hamacas, Atepatahua, Velo de Novia, El Salto, and La Encantada.
