The Borda Garden Museum

The Palace of Cortes
The Palace of Cortes houses the Regional Museum, which consists of 16 exhibition rooms with objects illustrating the history of Mexico and the State of Morelos, and murals by Diego Rivera. Tel. (777) 310-1845. Located opposite the Zocalo (main square) of Cuernavaca. Closed Mondays.

Xochicalco
Regarded as the most important fortress city in Meso-America, this example of military architecture was a not only a political and scientific center but also a promoter of the arts. It is located 32 km (20 miles) south of Cuernavaca, along the Cuernavaca-Acapulco highway. Open daily, from 9:00 to 17:00 hrs. Tel. (777) 374-3090.

The Salto de San Anton Waterfall
Visitors to the site will be delighted with its 130-foot-high waterall and surrounding basaltic prisms.
